St. Aloysius Primary Grade 5 students
On May 20, 2011 members of a Grade 5 class at St. Aloysius Primary in Kingston were the first Jamaican students to participate in the Global Water Experiment. The students conducted the “pH of the Planet” exercise under the guidance of University of the West Indies (Mona) Chemistry student Megil McNeil.
Kudos to the Ministry of Education, Jamaica for partnering with International Year of Chemistry (IYC 2011) – Jamaica on the school based activities! The two activities are the Global Water Experiment for Primary School students and the Chemistry YouTube Video Competition for High School students!
